Hi future host-family!

My name is Marit (19 years old), born and raised in the Netherlands and I'm looking for a loving and fun host-family to become an au-pair for. As my dad is Dutch and my mom is German, I speak german and dutch fluently as well as english.

After studying a year at a university, I decided it was time to plan a gap year to fill a year with happy memories. I've now been at home for some months working at a cafe and having some nanny jobs, but I’m looking forward to a new adventure!
I’m an active and creative person. I like to travel, go outside, cook, bake, sport, be with friends and family and of course being around/watching kids.
family and friends would describe me as a loving, enthusiastic, humorous, creative, organised and kind person. I never bounce back when it comes to helping people. Further than that I also am a hard worker, who doesn’t give up easily. It gives me satisfaction achieving something I’ve worked hard for

Honesty, equality and kindness mixed with the right amount of humor are important values in life for me. Also sustainability plays a big role in my life, as I think taking our own responsibility with that is very important for the future generations.

I most of all want to become an au pair because I have a passion for being around kids. Their way of being inspires me. I love seeing kids learn while leading them by their hands and make memories with them. I always like to go outside with the kids if I can, to show them how beautiful the world around them can be! I always try to give the kids the same attention, love and safe atmosphere I always got to experience in my youth. Apart from that, being able to relieve parents gives me a good feeling too.

I’ve also always been very interested in getting to know other cultures. That's also why I would love to really become a pat of the host family and getting to know their culture and way of living.
