I've worked with children for about 6 years now. I began babysitting at the age of 14, growing up in a military town presented consistent opportunities and provided me with a good amount of experience at a young age. Then by 17 I transferred to online schooling and began working in a childcare center at the gym I was attending until I was 19, sometimes working 8 hour days, as well as frequently babysitting for coworkers and family. Working in a gym daycare that lacks the structure of a traditional daycare has made me very skilled at multitasking and it helped expose me to all kinds of age ranges daily helping me understand what works for different age groups, as well as the task of looking after multiple children at a time. Then at 20 I went on to minding a 4 month old as well as his 3 year old sister full time, working typically 9 to 11 hour shifts Monday through Friday and sometimes a few hours on the weekend. Most recently I traveled to Ireland to mind a 7 year old little girl and it was the best experience of my life, I feel au pairing is meant for me as I would like to open myself up to new experiences, people, places and cultures. I'd like to direct my energy towards being of help to others more than anything, I really love to be there for the kids & parents and I will always do my best!
