Hi there!
My name is Sonia and I’m excited about the opportunity to become a part of your family as an Au Pair. I’m 20 years old and currently living in Milan, Italy. I’m in my first year of university at the Politecnico di Milano, where I study Interior Design — a passion that reflects my creative and curious personality.

One of the main reasons I want to become an Au Pair is to immerse myself in a new culture, create meaningful memories, and grow both personally and professionally. Living abroad, adapting to a different lifestyle, and being part of a new family environment feels like the perfect opportunity to step out of my comfort zone and develop independence and intercultural understanding.

I truly enjoy working with children and have experience with kids of various ages. I’m currently babysitting 5-year-old twin girls, and I’ve also cared for children aged 3, 8, and 13. Additionally, I’m a certified ice skating coach and teach weekly group and private lessons to children. At 16, I worked as a tourist entertainer, organizing activities and caring for kids in mini clubs, an experience that taught me a lot about responsibility and child engagement.

If others had to describe me, they’d probably say I’m cheerful, outgoing, and easy to get along with. I’m also very responsible, energetic, and always smiling. I’m curious about the world around me and have always been driven and disciplined when it comes to pursuing my goals.

Outside of my studies and babysitting, I have a big passion for ice skating. I was a professional athlete for 12 years on the Italian national team, which gave me the chance to travel internationally (most recently to Bangkok). That experience taught me discipline, commitment, and excellent time management. I’ve also tried many sports like windsurfing, soccer, and dance . I love spending time outdoors, walking through the city with friends, grabbing a coffee, or just relaxing by the sea, my absolute favorite place to be.

From this experience, I hope to learn new things, spend meaningful time with your children, and discover the area where you live. More than anything, I hope to find a warm, welcoming host family to share this adventure with.
