Dear Host Family, I can’t wait to meet you!
My name is Liridona (but everyone calls me Liri or Lili) and I'm a loving, somewhat shy, 18-year-old girl. I just graduated from high school, and I was into the foreign language program of my lycée where I've been studying English, French and Spanish. In addition, I'm bilingual in Italian and Albanian! My parents are Albanian, but I was born and raised in Italy, where I live with my large family.
I have five younger siblings (the oldest one is 17 and the youngest is barely one year old!) and, being the eldest daughter, I often had to take care of them for my parents, therefore I can say that I have good experience with children of all ages. The sibling I'm the most attached to is my brother Momi, who is 9 years old. My favorite thing to do with him is playing and talking about football (which he's very passionate about) and read books. When he was little I would read him every night a fairy tale and we even wrote a little fairy tale together!
I'm very aware of how exhausting dealing with children can be, but I've always had a great passion for child care: teaching them new things, reading books together, drawing and playing with them fills me with a lot of joy and that's the main reason why I want to become an au pair.
Everyone has always told me that I am "very mature for my age", but I still have preserved my carefree and playful side :D My siblings and other children’s moms say I’m very nice and fun and I hope you'll say the same!
