Dear Family,

My name is Charlie, and I am a nineteen-year-old (female) student from Canada. I am a student at Dalhousie University studying Business to obtain my Bachelor of Commerce degree. I have a younger brother who is in high school, and I speak English fluently and a little bit of French.

When it comes to childcare experience, I worked as an overnight camp counselor for ages 5-15 for the past two summers. I participated in the daily care of 5 to 8 children at a time and acted as a positive role model to them. I have been babysitting since I was 13 and continued to do that all throughout high school. I babysat children from ages 0-4 and also acted as a positive role model to these children as well. I love being with children as I find it very rewarding to watch them learn and grow while in my care. I am very loving and gentle. I enforce gentle caring to kids as I feel it is the best way for them to learn and grow in a healthy manner. I have my CPR and Standard First Aid certificates.

When I am not studying or in class, I love to hang out with my friends as I am very social, I love being outside, especially when it's nice out, and I love drawing, painting, and having a good time. I have been skiing since I was three years old, as my family loves winter sports like hockey and skiing. I grew up as a gymnast and competed from ages 5 - 14, and my favorite event was the uneven bars. I love to draw and paint a lot as I took AP art in high school. I love to get creative and create art and express myself through it.

As far as preferences are concerned, I am looking for a live-in arrangement with a host family that would be happy to have me stay with and work for them from June to August. I would also prefer to look after children between newborn to 5 years. I am very flexible, and I am willing to do some extra cleaning and cooking or anything like that that you may need.
