Dear Host Family,

My name is Ella, and I’m a 21-year-old from the United States. I recently graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Philosophy, and I plan to attend law school in the near future. Before beginning that journey, I’m eager to explore new cultures, gain meaningful experiences, and build genuine connections in a different part of the world. Becoming an au pair offers the perfect opportunity to do that while doing something I truly love—caring for and spending time with children.

Growing up with five siblings, I’ve always been surrounded by the energy and joy of large families. I started babysitting at the age of 13 and have cared for children ranging from infants to teenagers. In addition, I’ve worked as a summer camp counselor and assistant camp director, leading activities for children aged 6 to 17. These roles not only deepened my experience with child care, but also shaped my ability to be creative, responsible, and adaptable in any situation.

In addition to my passion for working with children, I have a wide range of hobbies I’d love to share with your family. I love baking, cooking, reading, running, doing arts and crafts, playing board games, and swimming. I’m always up for an outdoor adventure or a cozy afternoon indoors with fun activities. I speak English natively and have beginner-level French, and I would be more than happy to help your children learn English in a natural, engaging way.

I’m kind, flexible, and reliable—and I’m excited to contribute however I can. Whether that means helping with homework, preparing meals, organizing playtime, or assisting with household tasks and errands, I’m ready to be a helpful and positive presence in your home. I’m CPR and first aid certified, have a clean driving record, and bring strong leadership experience from my time as Student Government President at my university, where I was responsible for overseeing a large staff and a substantial budget.

Expériences en garde d'enfants

I want to become an au pair because I genuinely love working with children and enjoy being part of their growth and everyday lives. With years of experience as a babysitter, camp counselor, and assistant camp director, I’ve found so much joy in caring for kids, planning fun activities, and creating a safe and encouraging environment for them.

Choosing to become an au pair abroad is especially exciting to me because I want to immerse myself in a new culture, build meaningful connections, and gain a global perspective before starting law school. I believe living with a host family offers a unique and authentic way to experience everyday life in another country. I’m eager to exchange language, traditions, and ideas, and I see this as a chance to grow personally while contributing positively to a family’s home.
