Dear Host Family,
My name is Eliška, I'm 24 years old and I come from the Czech Republic. I'm currently in my second year as an AuPair in California, USA. I spent my first year in Ohio with a wonderful family, where I took care of two boys, when I arrived the older one was 3 years old and the younger one was 8 months old.I started my second year in August in California, where I live with a very nice family and take care of a little girl who was 6 months old when I arrived. I really like to spend time with children, I like to play with them, whether inside or outside, I like to sing to them or read them some books, I like to create things with them, or I like to go for walks and to the park with them. We also liked to bake with the older boy in Ohio. What I really like about babies is that I can experience their milestones with them, for example starting to crawl, first steps, or first words.
I think of myself as friendly, reliable and sometimes a little funny. I like to watch movies and series, I also like to read, I am a fan of Harry Potter. I like to travel, go for walks, have coffee or spend time with other people, be it family or friends. I would like to continue as an AuPair for a year or two after the end of my second year in America, because I like taking care of children and I think I'm good at it. I prefer babies and toddlers, but I don't mind to take care of older children either. I would also like to get to know new places, people and their customs and culture.
