I assisted my cousin who is a single mom of two kids with ages of 10 years old and 3 month old baby , stayed for a duration of 6 months . I was a babysitter and nanny ,What turned out to be a challenge became a huge learning experience and found new respect for parents . Instead of seeing as a downside, I sow it as an opportunity. while baby sitting my cousin’s children, there were moments when she had to travel with work. It was initially a challenge to be alone with the children but I managed to be alone with the children and making sure the 10 year old did her homework and other daily chores. This opportunity really taught me alot during the 6 months of my stay.

I assisted my older sister who is married and a mom of two toddler girls with ages of 2 years old and 4 years old , for a duration of 12 months . I was a babysitter and nanny . I did the cooking, cleaning and putting the babies to bed and I would wake up to feed them . It was a great experience spending time with the girls. Some challenges was when one baby cries the other cries aswell , it was hard in the beginning but I got a hang of it . Teaching them how to pick up their toys with a song , and hugging them when they cried . I really had a great time .

I am currently volunteering at a daycare in my community . My duty at the daycare is to play with kids ,after playtime the kids have to pick up their toys and in that moment I teach them different types of clean up nursery rhymes or kiddies gospel music, just to make clean up more exciting and fun. Teaching them how to always say thank you and please, and how to admit when they are wrong and apologie right after .
