Hello! My name is Mariela, and I’m from a small country called Costa Rica. I’m currently looking for a host family where we can exchange language and culture. I would love to explore new places while doing one of the things I enjoy most, spending time with children. I have plenty of experience with kids, as I currently work as a nanny. I speak both Spanish and English fluently, and I’m also eager to learn your language. I’m a psychology student, I have knowledge of positive or conscious parenting and early childhood stimulation and I would and accompany and assist your family. I’m very caring, service-oriented, and I naturally connect with children. I’m here to help.

I have had the opportunity to spend a lot of time with children. In my family, I have little cousins whom I have cared for since they were born. My aunts and uncles have asked me to look after them from a young age, and it has never been a problem because I love spending time with them.

Some time ago, I started working as a babysitter in my country, caring for children ranging from 7 months to 11 years old. I believe this is the perfect job for me because I truly enjoy being with children, and they teach me so much in return. I strongly believe in respect and positive parenting, and I have genuinely formed meaningful relationships with the children I have cared for.

I hope that through this experience I can spend quality time with the family and, as I mentioned before, exchange cultures, traditions, and languages, while learning more about your lives and discovering the beauty of your country.
