Dear Host Family,

My name is Cesca, and I am a passionate 20-year-old nursing student from Seattle University. Im originally from the city of Spokane, Washington. I have developed a deep-rooted love for nurturing and caring for others which is crucial to my future profession.

Ive have had a lot of experience with kids. In high school I nannied for two years for family with two kids, ages 6-10. This experience not only honed my childcare skills but also deepened my understanding and patience when dealing with young minds. Further expanding my horizon, I embraced the role of a Home Care Aid in the summer of 2023, where I cared for both adults and children with disabilities. This role was particularly transformative, enriching my interpersonal skills and reinforcing my ability to adapt to various care needs.

Currently, I am actively involved in a literacy program named Jumpstart, where I engage with children aged 3 to 6 years. Here, my focus is on fostering early reading skills and extending their learning to both kids English is there native language and kids that are still learning. This experience has been incredibly rewarding, affirming my love for working with kids across different age groups and cultures.

My aspiration to become an au pair or nanny for the summer is fueled by more than just my love for childcare. I am deeply eager to immerse myself in new cultures and traditions, believing that such exposure is crucial for personal growth and understanding global perspectives. My educational background in nursing, combined with my hands-on experiences, has equipped me with a unique set of skills that include empathy, patience, and an ability to respond to emergencies calmly and effectively.
