I am very close to my family. I live alone because of my studies but I am lucky to live close to my family. So the week-end I live with my mother, my stepfather and my little brother with whom I spend a lot of time. We often share meals, do many activities together and enjoy time together as a family. My stepfather has older children from a previous relationship and I am very close to them as well. They have children and I consider them my nieces and nephews. I often spend time with them and help take care of them. I am also very lucky to live close to my grandparents and my uncle so I can visit them regularly and spend time with them. My mother also has a brother who as 3 children. I live far from them but I love spending my winter vacations with them. They live in the mountains so I enjoy going skiing with my cousins.
I would describe myself as a calm and friendly person. I can be a bit shy at first, but I adapt quickly to new environments and people and I become more and more comfortable with time. I am someone who is always smiling and enjoys spending time with my friends and my family. I love having fun, going out and sharing good moment with other. I am also quite sporty, I love running an I enjoy staying active. I am dynamic and I don't like doing nothing for too long. I am always up for new experiences and I rarely say no to trying something new. I am alos a sensitive person, which helps me understand and manage emotions (mine or those of others). This sensitivity makes me more empathic, especially with children, ans helps me stay calm and supportive in emotional situations.
I recently graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Management which I completed with a work-study program. During my studies, I worked as an personal assistant manager at SKF, an international industrial company. This experience allowed me to develop strong organizational and communication skills. Working 3 years in an international company helped me to improve my language skills, especially in English and also in Spanish. I had many opportunities to communicate with colleagues, supplier and customers from different countries. This experience taught me how to be adaptable and efficient. I also use to managing my time well, staying calm under pressure and supporting a team.
In my free time, I love going out with my friends, whether it's for a coffee, go shopping or juste spend time together. When I am alone, I really enjoy running, it helps me clear my mind and stay active. I also like reading, especially when I want to relax and take some time for myself. During 7 seven years I practiced horse riding, which was a big passion of mine. I had to stop when I started my studies, but I still have a string love for animals and outdoor activities I also enjoy watching series and movies, especially int the evening.
I have always been surrounded by children and naturally enjoyed taking care of them. I have looking for my little brother since he was young, and I also send a lot of time with ma nieces ans nephews. Being involved in their routines has given me a lot of experience with children of different ages. In addition, I have done somme babysitting to help take care of my mother's colleagues, which I really enjoyed. I also spent many holidays at my grandmother's house, she used to be a chilminder and I loved helping her with the children she was looking after. I enjoyed creating a connection with them, playing, talking. it was a great way for mu to learn about how to care for children in a warm, patient and engaging way.
Since middle school and high school, I have always enjoyed learning English. I even chose English as one of ma main subjects for the baccalauréat because I wanted to develop my skills. later when I started my work-study program, I chose to work in an international company to continue improving my English in a real context. thanks to ma work, I made great progress, I became much more confident speaking English and I overcame my shyness when I came to having conversations. It helped me to develop my listening skills, especially in meetings or phone calls. I would say that my written English is stronger than my spoken English, but I can communicate well in conversations and I continue to improve every day. I also having a basic level of Spanish, and I am always curious to learn more about languages and culture. Becoming an au pair is form me a great way to continue practicing English and discovering new ways of communication.
Becoming an au pair is something I have wanted to do for a long time. For me it's the perfect way to combine my love to discover a new country, improve my English and experience a new culture from the inside. I have always enjoyed taking care of children and creating strong bonds with them. I love being part of they daily lives, helping them grow and making them feel safe. The idea of sharing these moments in an international setting really excites me. I also see the experience as a chance to step out of my comfort zone, and grow personally.
