A strong Au Pair profile helps Host Families quickly understand who you are and why you would be a good match for their family. Start with a short introduction about yourself, your personality, and your motivation for becoming an Au Pair. Clearly describe your experience with children, including their ages and the activities you enjoy doing with them. Mention practical skills such as helping with homework, cooking simple meals, or organizing games. It is also helpful to share your interests, hobbies, and what you hope to learn during your stay abroad. Keep your profile updated regularly so families can see your current availability and the most accurate information about you.

Profile photos are often the first thing Host Families notice, so they should clearly show who you are. Choose bright, friendly photos where your face is visible, and you look approachable, and include a few pictures with children (if possible), or while doing activities you enjoy. Avoid heavily filtered images, group photos where it is difficult to identify you, or pictures that may look unprofessional. Make sure they are prepared for the website: images should not be higher or wider than 1200 px and should not exceed 1.5 MB in size. Do not upload photos that show contact information or screenshots of social media profiles, as sharing personal contact details in photos is not allowed on the platform. If you want to post photos taken with a previous Host Family, make sure you have their permission and consider covering children’s faces with stickers or blurring them to protect their privacy.

A detailed and welcoming profile helps Host Families receive more messages from Au Pair candidates. Introduce your family members, describe your daily routine, and share what makes your home environment special. Be transparent about the Au Pair’s responsibilities, typical working hours, and daily schedule, so candidates know what to expect. Clearly state the pocket money you offer within the official range of your host country, as well as the living arrangements, such as a private room and access to shared spaces. Mention additional benefits like language course support, cultural activities, or travel opportunities. Finally, add friendly photos with your kids and keep your profile active by updating it regularly and responding promptly to messages.

Profiles may receive less visibility if they are incomplete or rarely updated. Missing information about childcare experience, availability, schedule, or expectations can make it harder for others to find your profile in search results. Profiles without photos or with very short descriptions are also less likely to appear in matches. Activity on the platform matters as well: users who log in regularly and respond to messages tend to be shown more often. Updating your photos and profile description regularly can help keep your profile closer to the top of the matching list. Visibility may also depend on search filters set by other users, such as age, location, language skills, or preferred dates.

All profiles on the platform are reviewed to maintain a safe and trustworthy community. During moderation, the team checks whether the information provided follows the platform’s guidelines and community standards. Profiles may be rejected or edited if they contain inappropriate photos, contact details in the description, or misleading information. If contact information is detected in your profile text, the profile may be hidden from search results until the information is removed, and you will receive a notification to update it; repeated violations may lead to the account being permanently blocked. In some cases, if an account seems suspicious or the information provided is inconsistent, the platform may ask for identity verification.

Reviews and feedback help maintain transparency and trust within the community. When writing a review, focus on sharing your honest experience in a respectful and constructive way. Describe what went well, such as communication, daily routines, or cultural exchange. If there were challenges, explain them clearly without using offensive language. Reviews should be based on real experiences and provide helpful information for future users. Thoughtful feedback helps both Au Pairs and Host Families improve their experiences on the platform.
