Dear Host Family,

Hello! My name is Asya, and I am a 23-year-old International Relations student from Turkey. My native language is Turkish, I am fluent in English, and I am currently learning Spanish. I will graduate in January 2025, and I plan to take a Spanish course in Barcelona for 5-6 weeks (March-April 2025). From May 2025 onward, I will be available to join your family as an au pair!

During my university years, I’ve been deeply involved in volunteer work and have completed internships in Human Resources at a major corporate company. These experiences have taught me responsibility, adaptability, and dedication. I would describe myself as trustworthy, attentive, and reliable, with a natural talent for multi-tasking. I am also calm, patient, and genuinely enjoy caring for children, with a nurturing approach rooted in kindness and respect.

My caregiving experience includes caring for my younger sister since I was 17, a responsibility I embraced following our parents’ divorce. My sister is 15 now, she is a happy, accomplished kid. I also care for my 2-year-old cousin on a regular basis, a role that has given me experience with toddlers. Spending time with children brings me so much joy, and I strive to create a positive, safe environment where they can flourish.

I am passionate about child-centered learning and have a strong interest in the Montessori philosophy, which emphasizes independence and creativity. I believe that nurturing children through hands-on learning and minimal screen time helps them grow into well-rounded individuals. My approach includes encouraging creativity, fostering problem-solving skills, and respecting each child’s unique personality.

I am comfortable caring for children between the ages of 2 and 16 and can assist with daily tasks like cooking, tidying up, laundry, school drop-offs, and organizing educational activities. I’m also happy to help with homework and language learning. Before arriving, I am willing to undergo first-aid and CPR training to ensure the highest level of care for your family.

Being an au pair is a perfect opportunity for me to immerse myself in a new culture and language while contributing to a family’s daily life. I am eager to help your children learn, grow, and explore the world around them, and look forward to building a warm, positive connection with them. I also bring a love for theater and acting (I do have an acting education), travel, photography, swimming, and reformer Pilates, all of which I would be thrilled to share with your family.

I am taking this opportunity before starting my professional career to immerse myself in a different culture, improve my language skills, and broaden my perspective. Becoming an Au Pair allows me to combine this goal with my love for working with children, making it an ideal experience for me at this stage in my life.
