Although I haven’t worked as an official Au Pair yet, I have a lot of experience taking care of children. I have five younger cousins, and I’ve spent countless hours playing with them, helping with small tasks, and supporting them as a big sister figure. We have a very close relationship, and through these moments, I’ve learned how to be patient, responsible, and creative when spending time with children.

I’ve also lived with a host family before during an Erasmus program in Spain, where I stayed with a local family for a week. This gave me a valuable experience of what it’s like to live in someone else’s home, adapt to their routines, and build trust and connection in a short time. It made me realize how rewarding it is to become part of another family and culture, even temporarily.

I would love to become an Au Pair abroad because it combines two things I’m passionate about: working with children and discovering new cultures. I want to improve my language skills (especially in English and Spanish), gain independence, and step out of my comfort zone in a supportive family environment. I believe living abroad as an Au Pair is a unique opportunity to grow personally, help others, and create meaningful international connections.
