Our home is in a suburban area near Frankfurt am Main, with great transport connections. You’ll have access to our car, the local train network, and a Deutschland-Ticket to explore Germany in your free time. We’ll also support your language learning and help find a suitable German course in Hanau or Frankfurt.

Job Description

Our beloved Au Pair is leaving between December and January, so we’re looking for a caring and responsible person to join our family by (hopefully) latest mid-January. Your main role will be caring for our daughter, Emily, before and after her daycare (8 AM–2 PM, weekdays) and occasionally on evenings/weekends.

We seek someone experienced with young children and with a valid driver’s license. Light household tasks may be involved, but we have a cleaning service—your focus will be Emily. English fluency is a plus for her language development.

Your daily routine includes helping Emily get ready, taking her to daycare, and picking her up for afternoon activities like walks, playground visits, playdates, or seeing her grandparents. You’ll also assist with dinner prep or watch Emily while we cook. Occasionally, we may need help with grocery shopping.

We live in a lovely home in Kahl am Main, a mid-sized city near Frankfurt. You’ll have a spacious private room with an en-suite bathroom on the same floor, offering both comfort and privacy.
While you’ll have your own space, you’re always welcome to join us in the living room and spend time together. Our house features a large garden with a pond, where we enjoy barbecues and gatherings with family and friends.
About the Area Kahl am Main has everything you need—grocery stores, pharmacies, bakeries, and beautiful nature areas with swimmable lakes. The train station is a 10-minute walk away, with direct connections to Frankfurt Main Station and the airport (about 30 minutes). A language school can be visited in Hanau or Aschaffenburg, which is a 15 min train ride away.
