I have grown up with many younger cousins which has given me a lot of experience with young children. I have young cousins from Sweden, so I also have experience with caring for children where there is a language barrier. I have done a weeks work experience at a pre-school for children aged 2-5, where I got experience taking care of young children and reading them stories, playing with play-do, drawing, and entertaining them. I also worked for 2 weeks at a children's summer camp this summer, where I was responsible for 27 five year olds, which gave me a lot of experience with children, as well as a new appreciation for teachers!

I would love to be au pair because I think it is not only a great opportunity to immerse yourself in a whole new culture and language, but it's giving you a way to form bonds and relationships with people who otherwise you would never meet. I think it would be an incredible experience to properly see a country, and live the way of life of that culture, unlike what you would get on a holiday or trip there, whilst also feeling a sense of home as you are part of a family. I also really enjoy caring and looking after people, as well as acting as a big sister figure, as I never had one growing up. It would be a completely different experience unlike anything I have done before, and I would love to experience it, and be a part of a child's/children's unique experience too.
