Dear Host Family,

Warm greetings from New York!
My name is Katia, I’m 25 years old, and I’m currently seeking a welcoming and caring host family for a 12-month au pair placement. I’m incredibly passionate about childcare and cultural exchange, and I would love the opportunity to become a part of your family and create unforgettable memories together.

With over 10,000 hours of professional childcare experience, I’ve had the privilege of working with children of various ages—from 1 to 9 years old. Currently, I care for three wonderful kids, supporting them in their daily routines including feeding, bathing, school pickups and drop-offs, homework help, and engaging playtime activities. I work 45 hours a week and have developed strong multitasking and time-management skills, as well as deep patience and emotional intelligence.

Previously, I worked as a private tutor for 4th and 5th grade students, helping them with schoolwork, reading comprehension, and building confidence in their learning. I took classes on educational psychology and muliticultural psychology, as I’m deeply interested in child-centered education and development.

What makes me unique as an au pair:

Multilingual: I speak Arabic, English, and French fluently, which helps foster better communication and cultural understanding.

Creative & Active: I love painting, storytelling, organizing craft activities, and exploring nature with children. I also enjoy going for daily walks, visiting parks, and staying active.

Well-rounded Skills: I'm infant qualified, a confident swimmer, a responsible driver, and a great cook. I’m also happy to help with light housework, meal prep, and keeping the children’s spaces tidy.

Pet Friendly: I love animals and would happily help care for pets as part of my daily routine.

Culturally Curious: I’m excited to share my own culture while embracing and learning from yours. I believe this mutual exchange builds understanding and lasting connections.

I’m currently working as an Au Pair and have had the chance to care for children ranging from infants to 10 years old. This has given me a wide range of experience, from bottle-feeding and diaper changes to helping with schoolwork and planning fun, age-appropriate activities. Each stage of childhood comes with its own joys and challenges, and I’ve learned how to adapt my approach depending on the child’s age, personality, and needs.

What makes this role especially meaningful to me is the bond I’ve been able to build with the children and the families I’ve worked with. Being trusted as part of someone’s family is something I don’t take for granted. I’ve learned to be more responsible, patient, and flexible—and I’ve grown so much personally through these experiences.

One of the most amazing parts of being an Au Pair has been the cultural exchange. I’ve had the opportunity to live with families from different countries and backgrounds, and learning about their languages, traditions, and values has truly enriched my life. I love being able to share my own culture as well, especially with the kids, whether it’s through cooking, games, or teaching simple words in my native language.

I would love to become an Au Pair abroad again because I see it as a unique chance to continue doing what I love—working with children—while also immersing myself in a new culture and environment. I'm always eager to learn, grow, and step outside of my comfort zone.
