Leonie, 19, oesterreichisch, zurzeit in Österreich sucht einen Job als Au Pair in USA

Dear host-family,
my name is Leonie and I’m an 18-year-old girl from Austria.
I love working with children, as all my future professional plans involve working with kids. I am a hard working person, I don‘t freak out easily and I am very humorous and creative. During the last four years I completed internships in the gastronomy, one of them took place in Ireland in a 5-Star Restaurant. Therefore I am a decent chef and used to deal with stressful situations as well as I am able to adapt easily to different characters. For my parenting style, I focus on being kind and understanding, while making sure to be respected. In this year abroad I want to spend time with the kids of my future host-family, have fun with them, care for them and help organize their days. I also have no problem creating a meal-plan and cooking for the entire family and helping with the chores.

I am full of energy, always ready for an adventure and inspirable. Furthermore I am interested in many different things, open minded and love to expand my horizon. I'm interested in other people, warm-hearted, my Mom says sometimes far too much. I would say I am a creative soul as I really love painting, drawing and writing stories.

I have a lot of experience with children, also with babies and toddlers. My mum gave birth to a girl in october, so I‘m gaining a lot of experience right now, because I‘m babysitting her at least one hour a day. This includes feeding, changing diapers, soothing and entertaining her. But I also babysit other children, who are older. The first kid I started babysitting was three years old and is currently 8 years old and I still take care of her every two months. Furthermore I also recently started babysitting an one-year-toddler. This adds up to about 500 hours of experience:
• 160 hours with an 3-8-year-old
• 40 hours with an 1-year old
• 300 hours with my sister, who is now 4 months old

My first language is german, but I am fluent in english as well, considering that I have been learning english for 11 years and worked in Ireland for three months. Furthermore I know a bit italian, just a bit more than the basics.

I would like the family to be open and interested in me as a person the way I am interested in them. It is really important for me to match with the family and live harmoniously together.
