Hello! My Name is Zoë Jane and I am a college student in Boston double majoring in Art Education and Film and Video at Massachusetts College of Art and Design. I have a background in and passion for child care and education and plan to teach elementary art and pursue film making on the side. I am looking to be an Au Pair because I feel it is a position for which I am not only that I am qualified and capable but that I truly really enjoy.

My experience working with kids began with babysitting my sister, cousins, and the children of my parents' friends. I still babysit to this day. My first job at fourteen was at a painting party franchise, it was my first experience with teaching kids art and it was super fun. My first year of college I worked with preschool children, my students were two and three years old and they were perfect angels, I love working with this age because art is mainly process instead of product oriented and they have so much fun with the tactile experience. I was also an art teacher at a summer program where my students were between four and fourteen years old which was a very valuable experience. This was a program for all kids, including ones with disabilities. I am grateful for having had the opportunity to work with that population and gain experience accommodating lessons to suit every learner. I am currently working at an afterschool program with children four to twelve years old. I bring art lessons into the program but I also help with homework, play games, and hang out with the kids until their parents can pick them up.

Because I work in schools and programs with kids I have my First Aid and CPR certification and I have passed the department of early education and childcare (EEC) background check. I can send you these certifications if need be.
