Dear host family,
My name is Tara and i am 20 years old. I am from Zrenjanin, Serbia. I am writing this letter to introduce mzself and tell you a little bit about my experiences with children, as well as my decision to apply for this program.
Last year I graduated the high school of Economics in my hometown and since then I have been working constantly. In addition to the fact that I love children and taking care of them, my family also runs a company in the field of economics, and always help them with that.
My family is very big, so I have a lot of younger brothers and sisters, and since then my love for looking after children started, because I took care of them from birth, and later it continued as a job and i looked after 3 more children.
I have 3 brothers, Stefan, Uroš and Filip, and since the birth of Filip and Uroš, who are now 3 and 6 years old, I took care of them and was involved in all their activities. We went through everything together, first words, first steps, feeding, bathing, changing clothes, playing, first teeth, putting them to sleep...
Dunja is a girl I looked after for 5 months, since she was a baby, looking after her was not difficult for me because I already knew everything and had experience, I spent a lot of time with her and I became very attached to her. I followed all her needs as with every baby, putting her to sleep, making milk, changing diapers, bathing, a walk in nature…
I am applying for this program because I love working with children and want to gain more experience in this field. I also want to improve my English and learn more about American culture. I believe this program will provide me with a great opportunity to achieve these goals while also traveling and seeing new places.
In addition to my experience with children, I am a responsible, creative and organized person. I enjoy reading books, listening to music, and spending time in the gym. I am also dedicated to my studies and always make sure to prioritize my responsibilities before playtime.
