Dear Host Family,

My name is Michaela, I’m 24 years old, originally from the Czech Republic, and currently spending the summer in Switzerland. I am a student at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence, Italy, where I study painting. I’m a creative, caring, and responsible person, and I’m now looking for an opportunity to work as an au pair or nanny abroad during the summer months.

I have always had a natural connection with children, and becoming an au pair is a wonderful way for me to combine my love for working with kids with my desire to explore new cultures and ways of life. I see this experience not just as a job, but as a cultural exchange — a chance to become part of a new family, learn from one another, and make lasting memories.

You should host me because I bring a strong sense of responsibility, warmth, and creativity into any household. I have several years of experience caring for children from ages 1 to 9, including toddlers and school-aged kids. In my previous roles, I’ve been responsible for daily routines, creative play, homework support, and emotional care. I always strive to create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment where children can feel happy, supported, and inspired.

I also have practical experience in cooking and preparing healthy meals for children, as well as helping with household chores such as cleaning, laundry, ironing, and even gardening. I understand that supporting a family goes beyond childcare alone, and I’m happy to contribute to the smooth running of the household in any way I can.

What makes me a strong candidate for this position is not only my experience and flexibility, but also my willingness to fully commit to the family I work with. I am open to relocating to another country for the right family and am happy to adapt to your needs, routines, and expectations. I am calm under pressure, communicative, and genuinely invested in the wellbeing of the children I care for.
