My typical day as an Au Pair in Cyprus

Au Pair story: My life as an Au Pair in Cyprus
So that’s how my story started:
On AuPair.com, I found a family from Cyprus (Larnaka) with 3 children, aged 3 years old and 8 months (twins). I arrived at this wonderful and sunny island on September 28th and spent there more than a year. My Au Pair program finished on October 26th .

My day usually started at 9:30. The 3 year old boy went to kindergarten from Monday to Friday and stayed there from 9am to 3pm. So I spent almost my whole day with the twins. I used to prepare breakfast while the twins were waking up, and after breakfast I used to take them for a walk.

After that, we would come back home and play together. The twins usually took a nap at around 12:30pm. While they were sleeping, I used to take care of the household: ironing, washing, watering flowers, loading or removing dishes from the dishwasher. When the twins woke up, I normally fed them and took them again for a walk. We would spend 2 hours at the park playing together and then we would go back home.

The 3 year old boy, who was picked up by his grandma from the kindergarten, was already waiting for me at home. I usually worked until 6pm, when the host mum was coming back home from work. From 6 pm I had free time.
During this time I went shopping, to the gym or to the beach to swim and to meet my friends. I got to know many awesome people from Cyprus, they helped me and showed me the whole island. I also had free weekends, during which I used to join my host family: I went with them to the beach or to the restaurant, I went sunbathing, etc.

I will never forget the time I spent on Cyprus. Arriving at this sunny island was the best adventure in my life and a really great decision.

Experiência linda, parece que tudo foi muito bom para você. Estou orando muito para encontrar uma família anfitriã que possa me dar essa oportunidade.
