Hi! My name is Noora, and I am a 18-year-old girl from Finland. I recently graduated from high school, and I’m excited to find a warm and welcoming host family, where I hope to work as an au pair together with my cousin Alisa (19-years-old).

My cousin Alisa and I both come from caring and family-oriented backgrounds. Alisa five siblings, and I have two, so we are both very used to being around children and helping out in busy households. Growing up in these environments has given us lots of hands-on experience with younger children and taught us responsibility, flexibility, and how to support others. We both love spending time with kids and enjoy creating a fun, safe, and loving atmosphere for them.

Both of us also have dogs at home and are used to taking care of them—feeding, walking, and playing with them is part of our daily life. While we love animals, having pets in your home is not required. In addition, we have both been cheerleaders for the past 10 years besides which I am an avid chess player. Through this, we’ve learned about teamwork, discipline, creativity, and how to bring energy and joy into group settings—qualities we bring with us when working with kids.

In addition to our native language Finnish, we are both fluent in English and speak great Swedish. I have also studied Spanish for over 12 years and I speak it, and understand it quite well, as well as French for 3 years, and have received raving reviews from my teachers about my language skills.

We function as a team and share both responsibilities and finances equally. We support and complement one another—what one of us lacks, the other brings—and this makes us a strong and dependable pair for any host family.
One of our personal goals for this au pair experience is to improve our English skills and learn more about the daily life and culture of the country.
