Letter to the family

I’m Xiang (also go by Devin, easier to pronnounce), a Fine Arts student who loves to discover new things everyday. I’m Chinese but grew up in Spain (mainly).

I get very invested in the children’s life I’m taking care of really quickly, making me want to attend their school or extra-curricular events and support them in every way possible.

I get along with children and I consider myself an empathetic, sensitive person. I’m resolutive and a quick thinker, capable of dealing with unexpected scenarios. People say about me that I’m level headed and a good listener. I don’t believe in physical punishments, but I know when to put my foot down.

The psychological knowledge I’ve acquired (both through study and my own years of experience dealing with kids with any kind of special needs) has gifted me with a better capability of understanding and bonding with children.

I love helping in whichever way is needed, be it house chores, children’s homework, cooking (which I love) or anything that involves crafting.

Experience

I’ve been tutoring children since I was 16 and I’ve worked as a nanny for the same amount of years if not more.

I’m a very curious person and I fancy the opportunities that being an Au Pair could bring to me (cultural exchange, meeting awesome people…). It would be an excellent way for my own personal growth as well as the children’s.

I’m certain both parties will benefit from this arrangement, as I’m confident on what I can bring to the table and what my second family can offer me.
