Letter to the family

My names Ellie, I am 23 years old from the UK moving to Sydney in January 2026. I’m very excited about starting a new chapter in Sydney, I visited last year and loved the place and culture.

I enjoy spending time with children, helping them grow, learn and have fun. I have experience in children’s entertainment in which I would dress up as Disney characters and suprise visits for their birthday. I also have babysitting experience. These experiences have taught me to be patient, responsible and creative when caring for children.

I love family life, growing up with an older sister (who is currently living in Sydney) and a younger brother.

Experience

I would like to become an Au Pair abroad as I would like to immerse myself in a new culture, whilst being surrounded by family life. I have enjoyed being an older sister to my siblings and i definitely feel having those strong bonds whilst growing up is important.

When visiting Sydney, I assisted my sister who is currently an Au Pair, living with the family and seeing what this role entails. This gave me experience in this specific role, taking the children to school, helping with homework, and putting them to bed.
