Letter to the family

My name is Maria Eduarda, I am 17 years old (I will turn 18 on November 5th this year), and I was born and raised in Uberaba, Minas Gerais, Brazil. I grew up in a big family and have always been surrounded by children. Since I was young, I have taken care of my cousins, and this gave me a lot of experience with kids, even though I do not have professional childcare experience. These moments taught me patience, responsibility, and how to care for children with love and dedication.
I would love to become an Au Pair because I see this as a chance to grow as a person, learn about a new culture, and share mine as well. I also dream of studying Child Psychology in the future, so spending time with children and being part of their daily lives is something very special to me.
You should welcome me because I am responsible, caring, organized, and I truly enjoy spending time with kids. I like doing creative and fun activities with them and I always do my best to create a safe and positive environment. I know how to stay calm and patient in different situations, and I always try to act with kindness and respect.

Experience

Even though I haven't formally worked as an au pair, I grew up in a large family where I was always surrounded by children. This taught me to share responsibilities, be patient, and develop a strong sense of care and empathy. These experiences have helped me mature and made me adaptable and ready to deal with different situations.

I would like to become an au pair abroad because I see it as a chance to grow even further, gain independence, and develop important life skills, such as communicating in another language and adapting to new routines. I also believe that cultural exchange is a transformative experience, where I can not only teach but also learn from the host family that welcomes me.
