Work abroad in Indulekshmi's family for 10-12 Months starting from Jun 2025 as an Au Pair to take care of 1 children of 1 - 5 years old in Augsburg, Bavaria Germany

You will generally not have regular hours but will be expected to be flexible. On most weeks it is likely you do not work the full 30 hours but other weeks you would. If there is no sickness or other intervening factors, you can expect that on most days, you will have time to yourself between 8/9 and 430pm which you can use for language classes or other things.

Both parents will be working from home on most days but some days either party has to travel, or work late in the Munich office.

The child will have a fulltime spot in a daycare but you will have to get them ready in the morning and drop off, and do pickup in the evenings. You may have to entertain them a bit after daycare and help with bedtime. We often need more help on the weekends, because we have a lot of chores to do but need to also entertain her. Between the two of us, one of us is travelling at least once or twice a week (sometimes more often) so when this happens, we need extra help on these days. On a weekly or monthly basis we can talk about which days you will have free.

You may have light household tasks, such as feeding the cats or cleaning their litterbox on occasion.

Occasionally we might ask you to be at home in the evenings so that we have someone to cover the days that one or both of us are away for work or social reasons.

There will also be days that she cannot go to childcare because it is closed or because she is sick, and those days we still need to work so we may require your help that day to look after her.

You will not have a curfew or restrictions on your nights out, and we will respect your privacy. However we expect the same of you, that you respect ours, and do not gossip about our family life.

In Germany, you get pocket money + 70 euros for language classes + health insurance + a public transport ticket.
