Dear Future Au Pair,

We are a warm, multilingual family living in a beautiful, spacious house in the very heart of Barcelona. Our home is filled with love, laughter, and the joyful presence of our beloved dogs and cats, who are an important part of our family.

We are currently looking for a kind, responsible, and animal-loving au pair who would enjoy caring for our pets while experiencing life in one of Europe’s most vibrant and culturally rich cities.

As a family, we speak Spanish, English and Swedish fluently at home, and we would love to welcome someone who speaks Mandarin Chinese to join us for a cultural and language exchange. In return, we are happy to help you improve your Spanish or English (or both!) in a natural, everyday setting.

Our children are mostly grown—four in total—with our youngest adopted from China. Only two live at home now.

While your main responsibility will be dog sitting, take smaller dogs for walks, you will be surrounded by a welcoming and open-minded family with a deep appreciation for different cultures and languages.

We want to find someone that can stay in the house also if we are traveling so we think that you are in your twenties and responsible.

We live centrally, with easy access to parks, cafes, museums, and the beach—everything Barcelona has to offer is right outside our door.

We have had au pairs many times from China, USA, Sweden and Ucraine.

The time can be flexible it can be a shorter stay or a longer if all works out well.
