Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

We are are Dutch family with one son and identical twin daughters, living in the small and relaxed town Blaricum. We have a large home and garden with a nice secluded studio in the garden for our aupair.

Your studio/annex will have a gorgeous view of our garden and is equipped with all amenities such as your own shower, toilet etc.

We are looking for an English speaking aupair to make sure our son keeps up his English (he lived with us in London for over 2 yrs).

The work will consist of picking up the twins from pre-school and also our son from primary school on some days of the week. The school and pre school are only a 5 minute bike ride away.

On Wednesdays and weekends you will be off (and of course when the kids are at school).

In return you will get full board, salary, unlimited Wifi, a language course, public transport pass/contribution, free weekends and your own private annex with a private entrance and your own bathroom (shower/toilet).

Our preference goes to an EU citizen or have a EU Visa in hand.

Job Description

During weekdays Philip goes to school and the twin girls Madeleine and Christine attend pre-school.
We would like to look after all 3 children after (pre)school, for 4 days a week.

Eleonore and I will do the morning routine, however would like you to do the morning school run. The pre-school of the girls and school of Philip finishes at around 14:30 on most days of the week. You will spend most of your time with our children, cooking and doing some light housework. We would also like for you to babysit on friday evenings.

We intend to have family dinner with all of us together every evening.

Pocket money of €400/month

In addition there will be a mobile phone contract contribution, public transport contribution, a course (language or other), bicycle, and all food and drink provided.

Accommodation

We live in a 4 bedroom villa surrounded by a lovely garden. We also have an annex (equipped with shower/toilet etc) situated in the garden, which will be your own private space spread over two floors. Downstairs is your own little kitchen area (watercooker, microwave etc) and your toilet and shower. Upstairs is your bed, chairs, desk, tv and a lot of wardrobe space.

Our Town, Blaricum, sits about 30 minutes from Amsterdam.
Within Blaricum we are situated at walking/cycling distance from the town centre, where you will find a supermarket, some shops, coffee bars, restaurants etc.
The street we live on is fairly quiet and leafy and has the nearby nature reserve (meadows and forest "Goois Natuurreservaat") starting at the end of the street, at less than 200 meters from our doorstep.
The area around our village is known for its natural diversity and beauty. Attracting many famous international artists and painters throughout the 19th century to reside in Blaricum and the adjacent village Laren for some part of their lives.

We don't have any pets and animals and are non-smokers.
