Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

We are Carol & Viktor, an international family - German dad, and Kenyan mum used to live in Scotland, for quite a good number of years. We have two daughters: first one born in Nov 2022, while the second was born in July 2024. We have a dog (about 4yrs old Samoyed).

We live in the beautiful international city of Bremen, in northern Germany, only a short trainride away from the north sea, in a very central area; you can be in the city centre quickly by tram, bus or bicycle quickly (<3km). As an international city with over 650 000 inhabitants, Bremen is more than interesting for students, entertainment, shows, shopping, making and meeting friends etc.

We would love to welcome an English or German speaker on B1 level, but as long as we can communicate well, we are happy. We will support you with signing you up for German classes, and show you around our lovely city ☺️
We had several aupairs and can help with accounts, registry and any other bureaucratic things Germany throw at you.

We are looking for our next AuPair who will also become our extended family member! :)

Job Description

We are looking for a reliable au pair, who will become our additional family member. To ease integration, we are also happy to support with the German language course. There are several options close by for evening or day classes.
We are looking for a helping hand with the following:
-Getting our daughters ready for the day,
-school drop off in the morning and pick-up around 3pm
-afternoon acirivities with the kids (playing with them, taking them to playground, dance classes, drawing/painting etc) until 5-5:30pm
-light house chores like tidying up, dishwasher emptying & filling as part of the family
We approximate the daily work hours to be approximately 3 hours plus some family time, once in a while we might ask you to watch the kids in the evenings

We have a cleaner so don’t worry this will not be your job :-) But maybe you would like to cook along or introduce us to your own national cuisine.

You have your own room and bathroom. Your room is on its own floor so you have your peace & quiet from the kids. Included are WiFi, TV, Netflix and Amazon Prime, Spotify, clothes cupboard and desk as well as a cosy bed and all the usual amenities are at your disposal. We have a garden and extra space if you have other hobbies that need space.
