Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Hello from sunny Brisbane!


Thank you for taking the time to learn more about our family. We’re Santino and Donna, proud parents to two wonderful girls, Olivia (8) and Harper (5). We are currently looking for our next au pair to join our home and become part of our family.

We’ve hosted several au pairs before, and our girls absolutely love the experience. They look up to their au pairs like big sisters, and we truly enjoy welcoming someone into our lives to share in both the fun and daily routines.

What We Offer:

Your own private bedroom with air-conditioning

Shared bathroom with the girls

All meals, snacks, and drinks provided

Fast Wi-Fi and access to streaming services

A "Go Card" for public transport while staying with us

Use of the family car for driving duties and occasional personal use

Opportunities to travel with us on family getaways (all expenses covered)

Weekends off (Saturday and Sunday) – you're always welcome to join our family outings if you'd like!

Requirements:

A valid driver’s license – school drop-offs and pick-ups are part of the role

Working With Children Check (WWCC) or equivalent background check from your home country.

Non-smoker / No Vaping.

First aid training is a bonus.

Previous childcare experience is preferred, but not essential.

Intermediate English level required, we’re happy to help you improve!

Job Description

Daily Responsibilities:

Help the girls get ready in the morning (dressing, breakfast, and school bags).

School drop-off.

Free time between school drop-off and the first school pick-up, the day is yours to relax, explore Brisbane, study, or do as you wish.

Light tidying of the girls’ play area or common areas used by them.

Help with any homework (when given by the teacher).

Prepare afternoon snacks or simple meals .

Accompany the girls to any after-school activities (like gymnastics or swimming).

Play and engage with the girls until one of us is home.

Days Off:
You’ll have guaranteed days off on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays.

You’re always welcome to join our family activities on weekends or outings if you’d like – we’d love to have you along as part of the family.

Weekly Hours:
The maximum number of hours you’d work in a week is approximately 32 hours.

We aim to keep the structure simple, flexible, and enjoyable for everyone. If you're caring, fun, and happy to help our girls grow and thrive, we’d be thrilled to welcome you into our home.

We live in a spacious 4-bedroom family home, located in a quiet and safe suburb of Brisbane. Right across the road, you’ll find a lovely park and a walking trail, perfect for relaxing strolls, fresh air, or outdoor fun with the girls.

As our au pair, our girls’ “Big Sister”,you’ll have your own private, air-conditioned bedroom, providing a comfortable and quiet space to relax and unwind. You’ll share the main bathroom and toilet with Olivia and Harper.

Included in your stay:

All meals, snacks, and drinks.
