Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

My husband and I are looking for someone to help with our two boys from March 2026. Our eldest will have just turned 2, and youngest is due in October, so will be 4 months. We live on a small farm in the countryside in Devon. We have dogs, chickens and pigs, and may well have other animals by the time you arrive.

We live in a small village with a little cafe and great pub. We're located roughly 10 minutes drive from the nearest town, and 30-40 minutes from Exeter which is the closest city. We're also 30-40 minutes from the sea, with surfing on the north coast and amazing walks and scenery on the south coast.

Job Description

During the week, I will be working from home from 8am-5pm. We are looking for someone to help entertain my eldest, play with him and teach him new skills, whilst also supporting me with my newborn in and around work. My husband will be gone during the day working from an office.

We would like you to be playful, kind and creative. Spend as much time as possible outdoors and not be afraid of getting a little messy. A good understanding of first aid is very important.

While your primary focus should always be on the children, we ask that you also help keep the house tidy around playtime and assist with light household tasks as needed to maintain a clean and organised environment.
