Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Dear Aupair, we live in a quiet district in the big city of Dresden. Dresden also has an airport and is therefore easy to reach. We are both doctors and due to our working hours, we need an Aupair, which helps us to bring the children to kindergarten and school, as well as to pick them up again. Theresa will be 6 years old in July and Jakob 3 years old. Starting in September, Theresa will go to school, which is on the same street as our house. Jakob goes to kindergarten. Since we don't have a free room in our apartment, our Aupair has her own apartment which is about 300 meters away. Currently, we already have our second Aupair. Your working hours are mainly Monday to Wednesday because on these days I work in another city. When I am at home on the other days, I take the children to kindergarten or school and pick them up again. Although you have your own apartment, you are always invited to spend time with us if you want. Your monthly salary is 500 Euro. On the days when you don't have to come to us, or during the time when the children are at school or kindergarten, you can do whatever you want. We have two cars, one of which you can use. You get a bike from us and if you want you can accompany us on vacation. With our first Aupair we went to Crete and our current Aupair accompanied us on a skiing vacation together with her boyfriend. Job Description

Since I'm not around from Monday to Wednesday, you would have to pick up the kids from school or daycare on Monday afternoon and watch them until Christoph gets home, which is around 6 or 6:30 pm. The after-school care at the school closes at 5 pm, so Theresa would need to be picked up between 4:30 pm and 5 pm. The school is about 300 meters from our house on the same street. Jacob is usually picked up from kindergarten around 5 or 5:30 pm. On Tuesday and Wednesday, you would have to be at our house at 6:30 in the morning. Have breakfast with the kids and then get them ready for school and kindergarten. Theresa can probably walk to school by herself. School starts at 7:30 am. Jakob needs to be taken to kindergarten. The kindergarten is about 5 minutes away by car. Therefore, it would be good if you have a driver's license. Currently, Jakob and Theresa go to kindergarten at 8:30 am. On Tuesday and Wednesday, you would have to pick them both up like on Monday. The rest of the days I will do it. Theresa has gymnastics on Monday afternoon and dancing on Wednesday. You would have to take her there once as well. The rest of the time is at your free disposal. You can take a language course, do sports, meet friends....
