Hello au pair candidate – I am so very pleased that you are interested in potentially joining our family as an au pair. I’d like to tell you a bit about us, and this opportunity.

We live in a suburb of Atlanta called Dunwoody (population about 48,000 people). Dunwoody is a great place to raise a family. Most adults in our community are working professionals with children. Within just a few miles from our home you will find all the goods and services necessary for daily living. A local landmark, close to our home, is the Perimeter Mall, which is a well-known regional shopping center.

Job Description

My former wife and I each have the children on alternate weeks. However, my son will likely soon be coming to live more days with me. The weeks both kids are here and when school is in session, Monday - Friday will be busy days. However, weekends and when it is just my son and me, your workload will be minimal.

An important aspect of this job is for you to confidently care for my children when I need to travel for my work. Sometimes I will need to travel several days in a row.

Overall, the workload for this job will not be high. Here is a brief outline of what my expectations are for this role:

Normal household duties, such as meal planning and preparation, dishes, household cleaning, laundry, organizing, etc.

When school is in session, getting the kids to school / the bus stop, then picking them up.

Taking care of all shopping, including grocery shopping and dry goods. Most dry goods we purchase from Amazon so my expectation is that you will be able to make these purchases and manage returns as necessary. There is an Amazon return drop off location as short distance from our home. Also, driving my children to appointments and other activities.

Walking and caring for our dogs, Nova and Oliver. We have a fenced in back yard.

Taking care of errands in the community as necessary, such as going to the dry cleaners, getting a car cleaned or serviced, etc.

Lastly, maintaining a safe, orderly, and comfortable household for all of us. Safety and security are top priorities for me.

Accommodation

You will have your own spacious, private, one-bedroom apartment inside of our home, equipped with a full bathroom / shower, kitchen, living room, and laundry room. The living room has a large wall-mounted TV. Our home has high speed (fiber) internet with cable TV & streaming via Netflix & Amazon Prime. We have a small in-home fitness area. I will provide you with a 2013 Lexus RX350 to drive, expenses paid by me.
