Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Dear Au Pair
Welcome to our family! We are so happy that you've decided to share this experience with us and that we can count on you for the next few months. We know that leaving your home and coming to a new country isn't easy, but we want you to know that we will do everything possible to make you feel at home from day one.
We would like to briefly introduce you to our family: we are Gerardo and Leslie, and we have three young children. We are a very active and loving family, and we are delighted to welcome you into our home. The children are thrilled to meet you, play with you, and learn from you—they're already counting down the days until your arrival!
During your stay, we hope you feel not only like a help to us, but like a member of the family. We will be happy to help you improve your Spanish (and learn a little of your language too!), show you our city, our culture, and accompany you on this adventure.
Don't hesitate to let us know if you need anything or if you have any concerns. We want this experience to be enriching and fun for everyone, and we're here to support you with anything you need.
We await you with open arms and eager to begin this journey together! We want you to feel at home from the very beginning, which is why we've prepared a comfortable and private space just for you. You'll have your own room, furnished with everything you need: a bed, a closet, a desk, and a window with plenty of natural light. You'll also have a private bathroom for your exclusive use, so you can enjoy your privacy and comfort whenever you need it.
Your room will be located in a quiet area of the house, ideal for resting or enjoying your free time. Of course, you'll have access to the common areas (living room, kitchen, garden, etc.) and are welcome to share time with us whenever you'd like.
You'll also have internet access and everything you might need to make your stay as pleasant as possible.
If there's anything you miss or need to feel more comfortable, don't hesitate to let us know. We want this to be a home for you, not just a place to work. As our Au Pair, your role will be very important in our daily life with the children. We want you to know that we don't expect you to be a nanny or a housekeeper, but rather an older sister to our children, someone who is part of the family, lovingly cares for them, and helps us with our daily routines.
These will be some of your main responsibilities:
Caring for the children: accompanying them around the house or on short outings, playing with them, reading stories, helping them get dressed or pick up their things, etc.
Helping with daily routines: for example, taking them to and from daycare if necessary, preparing breakfast or a simple snack.
Assisting with light household chores related to the children: such as picking up their clothes, helping tidy their room, setting and clearing the table after they eat, etc.
Sharing your language and culture: We would love for you to always speak Chinese to them and teach them songs or games from your country.
Being a positive role model: Having a responsible, caring, and patient attitude with the children.
Your schedule will be Monday through Friday, with weekends free. You will have free time to study, make friends, and enjoy your stay in Spain. You will also have your own room, board, and a weekly allowance as part of the arrangement. We are a family of five: I am the mother, Leslie, the father's name is Gerardo, and our three young children. The oldest is now 3 years old, and we have two 18-month-old twins. As you can imagine, our house is full of laughter, games, and lots of energy!
We love spending time outdoors, going to the mountains or the beach, doing family activities, and enjoying the little moments in everyday life.
