They should be reliable, responsible, and flexible enough to adapt to our family’s busy lifestyle and multilingual environment, ideally bringing language skills in English, Spanish, or French to support our boys’ trilingual growth. Practical skills like knowledge of early childhood development, CPR/first aid certification, preparing healthy meals, tidying children’s spaces, and possibly driving are also valuable. Since an au pair arrangement involves a cultural exchange, we want someone who is energetic, open-minded, respectful of our parenting style, and enthusiastic about joining in our family’s global experiences.
