Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

BRITISH FAMILY LIVING IN MUNICH!
We are looking for our next au Pair to join us in Summer 2025, to give Mum (Laura) a helping hand during the school holidays.

We have hosted 5 au pairs from Hungary, Slovenia, Spain and the UK, and it has been wonderful to share our cultures with each other, whilst we all learn more about the German culture. It has been a great experience for us and the children, so we would love to invite another au pair to come and enjoy our home and city.

We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in children, fun, and most of all KIND! ☺️

This is a great opportunity for someone interested in various cultures and languages, as you can experience German and British life.

We have a laidback attitude where we love hugs and laughter. We have a gentle but respectful approach to discipline. We have excellent amenities on our doorstep with lots to enjoy locally in the amazing city of Munich and surrounding Bavaria. We would love for you to come and become a part of our family, and have a great experience with us.

Our au pair will have their own bedroom with kingsize bed and fitted wardrobes, and their own private bathroom with a shower. They also have their own fridge. We also have a big playroom for the children.

Job Description

PLEASE READ - important!
- You will NOT be expected to look after all 3 children alone!
- Mum is Laura and does not work at the moment, but needs a hand during the school holidays!
- Most of the time you would have 1 or 2 of the children, whilst Laura has rather other. The children have different interests.
- So, for example, Laura would take the boys swimming and you would stay and home with our older daughter who will probably be happy going on her bike, doing dance routines, singing, or just relaxing watch a movie etc.
- We need an au pair to give us some flexibility during the holidays.

Monday to Friday daytimes only.

We want you to get the most out your experience in Munich and make lots of new friends here too. We want you to have an unfogettabke experience that isnt just about being an au pair.☺️

For us communication is key. We can talk about schedules, wishes and needs honestly and we always strive to make it work for both sides.

Accommodation

Au pair has their own large double bedroom, king size bed, (with windows), fitted wardrobes, desk and chair, and their own private bathroom with shower on the basement floor, with wooden floor and underfloor heating and 2 x large wardrobes, desk, chair. The house is very large and modern, with a beautiful big garden. The garden is really amazing, very big and green with lots of fun games, and a BBQ!

We live in the beautiful neighbourhood of Haimhausen, with a shop, cafes, restaurants, park, bank, supermarket.

We are a short ride from the S-Bahn (train station), 20 minutes into Central Munich.

We are 2 minutes walk from the Bus Stop which takes you to the S-Bahn (train station) but me or my husband usually will bring you or collect you from the train station.
