Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Hello! We are fun, fast paced family, that is always on the go. Dull moments are rare and we take full advantage of them. We are a single parent home and my children are fairly self sufficient. They are both boys and are 14 and 11. They require oversight rather than full on care. We hope you'll consider being our Au Pair!

Job Description

My job requires me to travel so this job will require you to stay at the house with the boys while I'm gone. I have arrangements with friends to provide you with weekends off as well as support in general if there are any issues with the kids. The kids are in school full time which leaves free time for you from 8:30am to 4:00pm. This is time that you can use for school or even a job. The boys are self sufficient and can be home without an adult...just not overnight. My youngest requires homework monitoring/tutoring and exercise. They both require screen time management. They have a great morning routine and get themselves up and ready for school and require simply making sure they didn't oversleep in the morning. You must be willing and able to cook nutritious meals and do the grocery shopping. This job requires you to be able to drive a manual transmission vehicle. My family (parents, aunts/uncles, siblings) may come and go if I'm away for work in order to support the boys for things like sports (My oldest will be trying out for high school baseball in January). They would stay at the house and this could be time off for you or just business as usual and we can discuss these times. The boys do chores and help out around the house, this just need to be tracked/enforced.
