Work abroad in Abby's family for 12-24 Months starting from Aug 2023 as an Au Pair to take care of 1 children of 0 - 1 year old & 1 - 5 years old in Orange, New Jersey USA

You’re either off 1 and 1/2 days a week or 2 days a week. Since September will be a different school program I’m not sure start time as days are different. My au pair has had both times off 2 days when I’m not in school and 1 and 1/2 days off when I’m in school. With 1 and 1/2 days off you will have a split schedule in the day, which is 2 1/2 hours off each day when my daughter naps.
There will be cleaning in areas my daughter have toys, but since I don’t have a huge home, you would not be overburdened with cleaning.
I prefer someone who can cook or follow a recipe book (my current aupair cooks no more than 2x per week).

You must love walking or be active, I would prefer an aupair who is an extrovert. You must be clean and like to keep things tidy especially your room, have a friendly personality (preferably with my daughter and not me). You must be smart, independent, a good listener, must follow instructions, must be able to remember things, take notes, add items to the shopping list, follow a schedule, do the task that’s required of you, actively play with my daughter and read to her a lot as she love books.

It is very important to me that I do not have to be telling you to clean your room, or reminding you of things like brush my daughter’s teeth or maintain her areas by keeping it clean. I’m also going to be juggling school and work so I don’t want to be micromanaging you on how you should do your job. You will have a list and it is your job to follow it, not for me to remind you. So you being a self starter is mandatory.
I am the one in charge of my household and I have an easy going personality, but I will not be happy if you can’t perform your job. I have 1 child and don’t live in a huge house, so this job is absolutely easy. As long as you can perform your duties relating to my daughter and the household without me telling you what to do constantly, then we will get along fine. I am happy to share household list or provide any info.
My current aupair is great with my 2 year in terms of reading and teaching but not the best at playing with her or doing household task, which is very frustrating because it’s like having another child in the home instead of a helper to make my life easier. I do not want this type of situation again, so I expect my aupair to do things that I do not have to remind, check on or ask.
