Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Hi!

We're Marjolein and John from Rotterdam, and we're looking for an au pair to join our family. We're expecting a baby in a few weeks, which means we'll soon be a family of four!

As an au pair, you will be taking care of our five-year-old daughter and the baby. Our daughter will be at school from Monday till Friday, while the baby will be at home.

We're hoping to find someone who:
- Has experience with young children, especially with new born and 5 year old kids
- Speaks English well
- Is already in Europe
- is between 20-25
- Can ride a bike in the city
- Enjoys being creative with kids
- Takes initiative and is reliable + responsible

Job Description

Schedule: You will have weekends off, and your main responsibilities will only be on the three days that I work. We are very involved parents and want to spend as much time with our children as possible, so we are looking for someone to support us when we are unavailable due to work.

Main Responsibilities:
- Preparing breakfast and packing a school lunchbox for our daughter (5 years old).
- Bringing her to school and picking her up.
- Engaging in fun and social activities with her after school.
- Making dinner for her
- Bedroutine

Important to Note: This role is mainly for our 5-year-old daughter, as she is the one who will need care while we are working. I am currently expecting our second child, but your primary focus will remain on our eldest.

Accommodation

We live in a family house in the city, with a small garden. You will have an own private room with window, bed, desk and closet. The bathroom is to be shared with our daughter which includes shower, bathtub, sink and toilet. As we live in the city everything is nearby, like restaurants, shops, supermarket, gym, swimming pool, playgarden, public transport. School is 10min by bike and 5 min with public transport.
