Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Dear au pair, welcome to our family!
I am a single mom of a 3-year old daughter and a newborn, living in the beautiful city of Santiago de Compostela. We live in a large house, 10 minutes away by bus from the historic center and very close to nature.
I lived for several years in Germany, Switzerland, and France, so I have firsthand experience of living abroad. I speak English fluently, as well as German and French—though I used to have an intermediate level in both, I’m afraid I’ve forgotten much of it.
If you join us, I would expect you to help me from 8–11 a.m. (Monday to Friday) with school preparation and light household tasks (e.g., emptying the dishwasher, cleaning up the kitchen after breakfast, etc.). In the evenings, I would also need some support to stay with one of the children while I bathe or put the other to bed.
Aside from this, you would have plenty of time to explore the city and its surroundings, meet students (it's a university city with a great student atmosphere), and/or attend language courses.
Of course, you would be more than welcome to join us in all our family activities if you’d like! We enjoy cooking, going to the park and swimming pool, and making plans with friends who have young children.

Job Description

My 3-year-old daughter does not speak English (yet). I would like her to learn it by using it as the main language of communication at home while you are with us. However, having an intermediate level of Spanish would definitely make communication with her easier.

Accommodation

We live in a spacious house, just a short walk from a bus stop that takes you to the city center in 10 minutes. At the same time, we’re close to nature, with walking paths along the river. From June to September, we also have access to a neighborhood swimming pool.
You would have your own private room and share the bathroom with the children.
The house is equipped with Wi-Fi.
