Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

We are a tiny family. Noah (comes 5 in November) and me, the daddy.
We are a great team ;-) In November last year, I divorced sadly enough his mama.
I have two sisters, who have a family, and his mammies family is in the USA and in Africa.
He is super crazy about his sister (who works and lives in London) and his brother (IT engineer, lives in Belgium).
Noah stays with me 90% of the time, and I am very happy with that.

We need a good au pair, so that my son has the attention he deserves (what I cannot give as much as I want to).

Job Description

I am very happy Noah is mostly with me. But he deserves someone to be more busy with him
than what I can give him now. And it would be handy if I would be able to work more.
These aspects are important, so your task here is important.
(I am working as a management advisor to owners of small and medium-sized businesses.)

So, if you would take care of making breakfast for us all, preparing Noah for school, and playing with him in the evening and at the weekends, it would make a big difference. Preparing food, taking care of lunch or supper (also on Saturdays) and doing some household chores are also important, so that I have more time to work. Doing groceries form time to time would be handy. He loves to learn and to do sports (biking, football, ...). If you can tutor him, that's perfect.

If you would be able to bring him to school and back (school is 2,5 km away), by bike or by car, that would be great.

You will have your hands full ;-)

Accommodation

Concerning the home: you will have your room (there are two rooms you can choose from). And there are two bathrooms (one with bath, one with shower). We just have to make clear arrangements concerning the use of these rooms.

We live in Belgium, in a small village. Belgium is small, and the village is small (2000 inhabitants). It is a quiet, safe environment, with lots of nature (for Belgium). Quite a few people come here to walk or to bike. One of the bigger cities in Belgium (80.000 inhabitants) is 15 mins by car, 40 mins by bike. Public transportation is available, but not frequent enough to be handy. So, If you are a party girl, looking to enjoy big cities, I fear you better look for another town...

We love to make small excursions. Europe is quite small... Brussels is a bit more than an hour away, Paris almost 3 hours (Disneyland Paris too), London and Amsterdam also 3 hrs (all by car). We can make day trips or small trips to these cities (what we do now already.)

So, I hope this clarifies the job a bit. Your further questions are welcome.
