Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Hello! My name is Vincenzo, and we are a warm and welcoming family looking for a kind, responsible, and energetic au pair/nanny to join our home. We live in a large (former)-Farmhouse on the Pääkslahti Peninsula in Vihti, about 45 minutes to an hour from Helsinki. Our home is surrounded by nature, offering a peaceful and scenic environment.

Our family consists of myself and my two adopted sons, 14-year-old Coleton and 16-year-old Madix. They are independent and responsible, but I’m looking for someone who can provide extra support, help with daily routines, and be a positive presence in their lives. We also have two friendly dogs—a German Shepherd named Pushinka and a Labrador Retriever named Ralphy.

Job Description

Responsibilities:
Childcare: Primarily serving as a companion to my sons, helping with daily routines, and ensuring their well-being.
Driving: You will be responsible for driving the kids to and from school in Helsinki Monday to Friday Drop of by 9AM and pick up at 3 pm
You will be provided with the family Polestar 2 as your personal car during employment.
Cooking: Preparing meals for the family on the nights when I'm not around
Household: Assisting with light cleaning and pet care (feeding and bathroom breaks for the dogs).
Caring for the boys like a parent when I am on business trips.
Ie: Bedtime, shopping, and other such activities
Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for someone personable, kind, and reliable—ideally, someone who will become part of our family. Finnish language skills would be a nice addition, but English is the primary language spoken in our home.

The position offers the opportunity to live in a comfortable and private space, including a private bedroom, living room, and semi-private bathroom. You will have the whole weekend and most of the workweek free to explore or relax, but you will be needed to help with everyday activities.

Living Environment:
Our home spans three floors, featuring large rooms, an indoor swimming pool, a home gym, a greenhouse, a large exterior garden, and a fenced-in yard. The house is located on the tip of the Pääkslahti Peninsula, surrounded by forests and farms. The au pair/nanny will enjoy the tranquility and beauty of the area, with the added convenience of Helsinki being just a short (Ish) drive away.
