Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Dear Au Pair,

We are looking for help starting in August/September, around the arrival of our fourth child. We live in a small country village in Bavaria, in a house with a garden. We are French, and it's the language we speak at home with the children. We also speak German fluently and practice it daily outside.
The children are growing up bilingual. We therefore offer exposure to both French and German.

The nearest town is 5 km away, and we are a half-hour drive from Munich.
The nearest train station is a 10-minute drive, and the language school is 15 minutes away. Munich International Airport is a 25-minute drive.

Job Description

We are a family with three boys, ages 5 and a half (Maximilien), 4 (Grégoire), and 2 and a half (Léopold). Our family will expand in October 2025 with the arrival of a fourth child.
The children attend kindergarten in the mornings, where they learn German. They love playing in the garden with their tractors, riding bikes, and going for walks. They also enjoy crafts and are interested in music.
We love exploring Bavaria as a family.

Accommodation

We have a 23m² room available on the ground floor with its own bathroom. The children and parents are on the first floor. The house has Wi-Fi and an Ethernet port in the bedroom. We expect the au pair to help the mother (Ombeline) with the three older children. Ombeline manages the children's daily routine at home. This is primarily to support her and relieve her stress so she can care for the baby.
Sometimes, the au pair can also help with meal preparation if she wishes.

We follow the legal guidelines regarding weekly working hours and vacation days. In addition, we also provide a small car for free and private use.

The three older children attend kindergarten on weekday mornings, so support is only required outside of these hours.
On Saturdays, there may also be activities with the children, as needed.
Sundays are always free, but accompanying an excursion is of course possible and voluntary. We usually attend mass in our village, but sometimes with other families or in Munich.
