Dear Au Pair,

We are a warm, multicultural family based in the UAE, and we’re currently looking for a kind, responsible, and culturally curious young woman to join our household as an au pair. Our family consists of myself, a Syrian-American father, my wife, who is Syrian-Lebanese, and our lovely twins.

Our primary hope in welcoming an au pair is to create a meaningful cultural and language exchange. In return for living with us and becoming part of our family, we would love for you to speak with our children in your native language, so they can be exposed to new sounds, expressions, and ways of thinking from a young age. We believe in raising globally-minded children who are open to different cultures, and language plays a big part in that.

We’re especially interested in au pairs from Spain, Portugal, Germany, Finland, or Denmark, as we’re hoping our children can gain familiarity with your culture and language specifically.

In our home, you will be welcomed into a safe, loving environment where we share our traditions, stories, and of course—our food! We enjoy cooking Syrian and Lebanese meals, and we’d love for you to join us in both cooking and tasting. You’ll also have the chance to learn the Syrian dialect and get to know Arabic culture from our perspective.

You’ll be included in our family outings, weekend activities, and day-to-day life. We truly see our au pair as a family member, not just a helper.

Your main responsibilities would include helping with the twins, especially during the times when my wife and I are at work. We’re looking for someone who enjoys spending time with children, is patient, and understands the importance of being supportive and reliable in a family setting.

We also hope that during your stay you’ll enjoy the chance to explore the UAE, its culture, and everything it has to offer.
