We rent the two top floors in a beautiful 100 year old villa in Dortmund-Mengede.
the train station is 150 meters from here, trains to Dortmund run 7 - 15 minutes depending on what train, to Düsseldorf it's under an hour.
The university can be reached by train (25-35 minutes) or by express bus that stops in front of the hose in around 20 minutes.
Huijun, Xiao-Han's mother, is Chinese, Hans, the father, is German. Xiao-Han is German as well as American (he was born there).
Huijun speaks Mandarin, English and German, Hans German, English, French and some Spanish. Xiao-Han German, some Chinese and some English.
Xiao Han attends 2nd grade at a school 500 meters from here.
We have a car (35 year old Mercedes...), but to use it for insurance reasons only by people over 25, sorry about that.
Mengede has all necessary shops plus several restaurants in walking distance, as well as two supermarkets.
We already had a Chinese au Pair, and currently two Chinese language students are renting rooms here (The apartment is huge). If someone wants an unbiased opinion about us, we are happy to communicate their contact.
