Hello! We are the s and we are looking for a new family member! We consider all our Au Pairs family, even if they don’t live here forever. So, we want someone who we can eat with, go on vacations with, hang out with, introduce to the school and friends as trusted family, attend weddings, et cetera. That said, Seattle is a great place to have a social life. We strongly support you inviting friends over and even having parties at your private house. We take the “On-Par” definition of “Au Pair” seriously. We do not want an employee – we want a teammate.

We won’t post their contact info here, but you are welcome to contact our three previous Au Pairs; just ask. We look forward to hearing from you and if you are ready to proceed, schedule a video visit with the family! Send us your whatsapp number and we'll get it scheduled.

We want someone who can really connect with our family and team with us to provide a loving, nurturing and educational environment for our daughters. Some days you are not going to have a lot of energy to deal with their shenanigans. Genuine affection and appreciation for them will help you get through those moments. The kids have no special needs, but both are rapidly learning in school and support in that homework and tutoring would be ideal.

Both of the kiddos go to school, so during the school year your duties will include walking them to school (or driving if you like) about a half mile away, or sometimes they walk themselves. They get home in the afternoon and you’ll play with them and see to their needs; and facilitate them doing their homework and chores. Cook dinner for the kids on nights me or my wife aren’t able to do it. Facilitate their bedtimes (they are both pretty good at doing it all themselves). weekends are off, usually a day and a half. However, if the kids aren’t doing anything we need help with you’d get the full two days and the night before. We are very flexible with modifying the schedule to accommodate your social time, and we do appreciate the occasional flexibility too. In any case, your hours will never be more than 10 hours a day or 45 hours in a week…usually much less than that. When you come with us when we travel your hours will probably change, but we strive to maintain those maximum work hours no matter where we go.

Alloggio dell'AuPair

You would have a completely separate house on the property just a few meters away from the main house. Private bedroom, living room, kitchen, and full bathroom plus two private entrances – the main one and the one leading out to the garden. Air Conditions and heated, with wifi. The kitchen has a dishwasher and all the standard amenities, also a clothes washer/dryer. The entire building would be for your own private use. However, on big feast days with lots of people we often ask to use your kitchen along with ours to make all the dishes (two ovens are better than one). The housekeeper often asks the Au Pair to use her laundry for large project laundry (like trying to do everyone’s laundry in just one afternoon). You can come and go from your house without having to go into the main house.
All that said, the entire property is your home, so you can come and go as you please throughout the main house and use any amenities you wish. Watch TV in the main living room, make a meal in the main kitchen; our home is literally your home. Your cottage is private, but you are not required to sit there when you aren’t working. In fact, we welcome you hanging out with the adults if you have nothing better to do in your time off. We live like family with teammates, not employees banished to their quarters at the end of the workday. You aren’t going to have a “curfew” or nonsense like that.

We currently have three cars so you can usually borrow one whenever you like. Its about 20 minutes to the heart of the city by bus or car, and about 10-15 minutes via the light rail. We have rail and bus stops within walking distance of our house, and three cars so there is always one available to use.
