We are a warm and friendly family of soon to be 5!

Renas, our 3-year-old son

Berlin, our 5-year-old dog

My husband, an electrical engineer

Myself, a medical doctor

And we are expecting our second child soon.


We live in a quiet village called Herresthal, about 10 minutes by car from Trier City and 30 minutes from Luxembourg City. Please note that there is no public transport in our village, so a driving license is a big plus.

At home, we speak English and Spanish with Renas, and he is learning German at kindergarten. My husband works in another city and is home on weekends. I will be on parental leave from December 2025 to January 2027, and we are looking for a kind and flexible au pair to join us from October 2025, ideally for 6–12 months.


What We’re Looking For:

We would love to welcome someone who is caring, proactive, and enjoys being part of family life. Your tasks would include:

Picking up Renas from kindergarten

Feeding him and spending time together in the afternoons/evenings (playing, reading, being outside)

Taking care of him occasionally on Saturdays, if needed

Walking our dog Berlin

Light household help (e.g., tidying up, folding laundry, helping with the dishwasher)

Assisting me with the new baby when needed (you will never be left alone with both kids)


You’ll be a support to me not left alone with full responsibility and we’ll keep a good and open communication about the weekly routine.

Driving License:

A driving license with some experience would be very helpful due to our location. It’s not mandatory, but if you don’t drive, please be comfortable with rural living and limited nearby access.

Language Course:

We support your interest in learning German and can help you find a course in Trier. However, we may need to coordinate schedules carefully, so some flexibility on both sides is appreciated.

Working Hours & Free Time:

Mostly afternoons/evenings, with occasional mornings or weekend hours

At least one full day off per week for the au-pair.

Time for your own activities, study, or rest during the week
