My name is Aurore, and I am 22 years old. I am writing to express my strong interest in becoming an au pair for your family. I have always been passionate about working with children and have gained valuable experience in various roles that I believe make me an excellent fit for this position.

From the age of 16, I have been babysitting and tutoring children of all ages, which has taught me patience, responsibility, and how to create engaging, fun, and educational activities. I have also had the privilege of being a scout, where I earned my BAFA camp director qualification. This allowed me to lead weekend camps and summer camps with children aged 8 to 14. I am used to organizing activities, working with children, and ensuring they are safe and happy.

Being the oldest of three siblings, I have always had responsibilities and have learned to care for my younger brother and sister. This, along with my previous experiences, has helped me develop strong communication skills, patience, and organizational abilities.

I am eager to become an au pair because I see it as an amazing opportunity to combine my love for children, teaching, and cultural exchange. I am excited to immerse myself in a new environment, learn about your family’s way of life, and share my knowledge and skills with your children, particularly in areas like language learning and creative activities. I am passionate about cooking, arts and crafts, and outdoor activities, and I am excited to offer these skills to your family.

I believe I am well-suited for this role because of my experience, my adaptable nature, and my ability to manage different situations with calm and care. Having lived abroad multiple times — in Germany for an internship, in the Philippines for an academic exchange, and in China for my International Business major — I am comfortable adapting to new cultures and environments. I know how to manage my emotions when feeling homesick, and I am confident in my ability to stay focused and emotionally balanced.

As your au pair, I would offer a positive and supportive presence for your children, helping them grow and develop while also taking care of daily tasks and contributing to a positive household dynamic. I am flexible, reliable, and ready to support your family in any way I can.
