Hello dear host family
I would like to tell you something about myself. My name is Lena, I'm 17 years old and I live in Melchow, a village near Berlin. I am in the 10th grade. I baked muffins twice for school and that's how I discovered my passion for baking and cooking. I also like to meet up with friends, dancing and singing.
In the future I would like to work either as an actress or as a nurse in a children station.
In English I can have a good conversation with many questions and deal with different topics. I am more confident verbally than in writing.
Since I live on a farm with my family and about 15 other people (children and adults). I started looking after and caring for smaller children at an early age. This has gotten me into several babysitting jobs where I pick up kids from school and play with and keep toddlers busy. In addition, I did three internships at kindergarten.
Not at least because of this, I learned a lot about working with children, such as being calm and being patient with children. I like to teach children things in a playful way and give them security when they need it. Above all, I really enjoy working with children. I also like to help around the house, so I've been doing a lot of housework at home for a few years now.
From the au pair year I expect to take care for your children and having a good time with them. I also like to take part in your everyday life and getting in contact with your country and culture. Through the time with your family I will certainly improve my English.
